Big Wind Coming!

We read Big Wind Coming! today. The book was about a hurricane that was coming. There was a family that lived on a farm. They were getting things ready for the hurricane to come. They boarded up the windows, put their animals in the barn, and they filled jugs up with water. They invited neighbors that lived close to a creek that might flood. They went into the hallway. The lights went out when the storm came. They had candles. After awhile the storm was over. They went outside and found a peach tree that fell over. Their pea garden was ruined. But the neighbors helped each other clean up.
