On Wednesday I went on a field trip to the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historic Site. My friend, Shammah, came, too. We learned a lot about Dr. King and his family. I got to see the home where he was born. It was neat. In the museum there was a place called "Freedom Walk." There are statues of people walking--black and white--in a protest march for freedom.
Martin Luther King, Jr. was a person who helped fight racial injustice. Two of the things I liked on my field trip were seeing the eternal flame and the reflection pool.

Good job Rachel. I liked seeing the museum pictures. I bet you had fun learning.
